The golf course was designed and built by Peter Matkovich in 2003. The brief given to the architect was to design a course that is playable for all levels of golfers, yet challenging for professional
golfers. It is intended to be user-friendly, enjoyable to play and memorable. The course is an excellent example of a Bushveld layout with wide fairways lined with indigenous grasses and a variety of Bushveld trees. The routing of the course is excellent and every hole is isolated with no interference from players on any other holes.
