We are a directory. We do not send anyone to your home and we do not take bookings. We check licences, audit services, and list them here — so you can see who is certified before you call. You then contact the service yourself.

Check that a service is licensed. Audit the certified ones on site. Publish what we found, and take it down when it stops being true.

What we do not do

Employ nurses or doctors. Take bookings. Take a commission. Give medical advice. Decide whether a treatment is right for you — that is between you and the clinician.

How to use it

Search below, open a service, and contact it directly. Certified entries show a certificate number you can check on our register. Listed entries are licensed but not yet audited, and say so.

If this is an emergency, do not use this page

Chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or confusion, heavy bleeding, a fall with a suspected fracture, or any sudden severe symptom — call your local emergency number. In the EU and UK that is 112 or 999; in the US and Canada, 911; in Australia, 000. A mobile nurse is not an ambulance and cannot substitute for one.

    Check the licence

    Every service here states its licensing body. Ask for the registration number of the individual nurse who will attend, not just the company.

    Ask what is in scope

    A nurse works under their own licence and, for many treatments, under a physician's supervision or standing order. If a service will not explain who supervises, that is your answer.

    Agree the price in writing

    Call-out, treatment, consumables and any out-of-hours premium, before anyone travels. Prices here are the published starting rate on an ordinary weekday.

    Say what you take

    Every medication, supplement and recent procedure. Most avoidable incidents in home care come from something nobody was told.

Scope

Scope of practice

This varies by country and by the individual nurse's licence. What follows is the general shape of it, not advice about your situation.

Usually within scope

  • Wound care, dressings, drain and line management after a procedure
  • Injections and infusions where a physician has prescribed or issued a standing order
  • Observations, catheter and stoma care, medication administration and reconciliation
  • Night supervision, elder care, and support after a hospital discharge

Not within scope, anywhere

  • Diagnosing you, or changing a prescription without the prescriber
  • Treating an emergency — that is what the ambulance service is for
  • Administering anything a physician has not authorised for you specifically
  • Continuing treatment when your condition is deteriorating; the correct action is escalation

List your service

List your service

Two levels. Listed means we have seen your licence and insurance and your entry says “not yet audited”. It is free. Certified means we audit you on site and you carry a certificate number. Prepare the documents below before you apply — incomplete applications are not assessed.

Required for listing

  • Business registration or trade licence for the entity delivering care
  • Professional registration for the responsible clinician, with the registering body and number
  • Public liability and medical malpractice insurance, current certificate
  • Proof of address and coverage area
  • Published price list, including call-out and out-of-hours rates

Additionally required for certification

  • Named responsible physician, and the written supervision agreement
  • Escalation policy: red flags, who is called, and how it is recorded
  • Scope-of-practice document for each service you offer
  • Staff credentialing file: licence checks at hire and annually, competency sign-offs
  • Consent forms, records and retention policy, and your complaints route
  • Incident log for the last 24 months, including the entries you would rather not send
  • Medication and controlled-drug handling procedure, where applicable
  • Vehicle, equipment and cold-chain checks, where applicable

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge within two working days and tell you what is missing.
  2. Document review, usually two to three weeks.
  3. Listing goes live, or an audit is scheduled if you applied for certification.
  4. Audit on site. Two assessors for certification, and one visit is unannounced.
  5. Decision in writing with reasons. Declined applicants may reapply after six months.

Listing is free. Certification is €4,500 for the audit and €900 a year, and no part of it is refundable against a failed audit — we are paid to assess you, not to pass you.

We would rather show you a licensed service with an honest label than pretend the directory only contains audited ones.
