An American hedge fund manager has a problem with his yacht. It doesn't fit on his property in Florida. That's why he's having a 1.5-hectare marina built

Ken Griffin is an American hedge fund manager and CEO of the financial services company Citadel LLC. According to Forbes, his personal fortune amounted to $43 billion in 2024. Star Island is located on an artificial island in Biscayne Bay, Florida.

To keep the expensive vessel, worth approximately $250 million, safely moored and in good working order, he is having a marina built along the deep channels of the Port of Miami, as reported by Bloomberg .
