nglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, in 1972. During the final week of the gallery’s summer season, a New York artist who had been a regular visitor sat down with Deitch and told him that even though he had some aptitude for the field, he needed an art education. Deitch has been working on his art education ever since.
