Alain Sutter, born in January 1968 in Bern, is a former Swiss footballer. He was regarded as the talent of the century, signing his first professional contract with Grasshoppers Zurich at the age of 1
7 and making his debut for the Swiss national team just three months later. His career took him to renowned clubs such as 1. FC Nuremberg, FC Bayern Munich, SC Freiburg and Dallas Burn. He played a total of 62 international matches for Switzerland and his participation in the 1994 World Cup in the USA was the highlight of his sporting career.
