The Deutsche Theatertechnische Gesellschaft (DTHG), or German Theatre Technical Society, is the oldest German professional association for theatre and media technology professionals, founded in 1907
. It serves as a non-governmental, independent organization for employees, freelancers, self-employed individuals, and institutions in technical and artistic fields within the cultural sector. The DTHG promotes professional development through its publications, the organization of the Stage Technology Conference (BTT) and the Stage|Set|Scenery trade fair, and the exploration of new digital technologies in theater through its digital.DTHG initiative.
