The FIPJP (Federation internationale de petanque et jeu provencal (fipjp)) is the international governing body for the sport of pétanque and the Provençal Games, founded in 1958 to promote and regul
ate these boules sports worldwide. It organizes major events like the World Championships, has over 100 member federations, and works to get petanque included in the Olympic Games. The FIPJP also establishes the official rules for pétanque, including boules specifications, and is a founding member of the World Petanque & Bowls Federation (WPBF).
