Peter Knäbel – President of the Swiss Football Association (SFV). Peter Knäbel (1966) is a German/Swiss football official and former football player. He has been the sports director of FC Schal
ke 04 from 2021 until the end of 2023. As a footballer, Knäbel played over 200 games in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. In 1984 he became European champion with the U-16 football team. In 1988, he won the DFB Cup final with VfL Bochum.
