UTA COO Andrew Thau Named Co-Head of UTA Sports with Rich Paul

Leading global talent, entertainment, sports and marketing company UTA has named Chief Operating Officer Andrew Thau to the additional role of co-head of UTA Sports. Serving as co-head with Rich Paul, CEO and founder of KLUTCH Sports Group, Thau’s appointment further signals UTA’s ambitious growth plans in the sports space, building on its successful strategic partnership with KLUTCH, which represents some of the most prominent athletes in professional sports.

UTA began its strategic partnership with KLUTCH in 2019 and created the UTA Sports division in anticipation of future investment and growth across the sports landscape. As UTA’s chief operating officer, a managing director and a board member, Thau has played an integral role in UTA’s dramatic multi-year expansion through its strategic partnership with KLUTCH, acquisitions including MediaLink and Curtis Brown Group, and the addition last summer of leading private equity firm EQT as a strategic investor in UTA.

As COO, Thau oversees the company’s corporate and legal affairs and has helped guide its acquisition and integration of a diverse slate of global companies across entertainment, media, sports and publishing. Prior to joining UTA in 2007, Thau was a senior executive at 20th Century Fox, where he oversaw domestic and international cable television networks and businesses before assuming leadership roles at several technology and entertainment startups. Thau also serves on the board of The Banc of California and is active in numerous charitable organizations.

Earlier this month, Paul was named to the board of directors of Live Nation Entertainment.
